幻想的武術活劇ノート
武術、武術、武術！
少年時代にハリウッド映画『北京の55日』『砲艦サンパブロ』を観た時の屈辱感を今でも僕は忘れない。俳優マコ岩松などがせ演じさせられていた東洋人の姿に憤った日のことは一生涯忘れない。そこには、欧米列強の巨大な近代軍隊と銃砲の列を前にしながら、それら弾圧と収奪からの絶望的な解放闘争に身を投じる若者達が、まるでゾンビの群れのように描かれていたからだ。その時、心に決めたのだ。いつの日にか、この物語を、義和団の少年たちと紅灯照の少女たちを彼らの側から描き直すのだと！
舞台：1895年〜1902年の中国北部。
農村での生活
突然、戦闘シーン。
農村の庶民向けの塾で、武術インストラクターから 太平天国と阿片戦争の話を聞くシーンから始まる。古代から近代までの 中国が大変革を迫られていることを伝えるシーン。話を聞くのは14歳の 少年Ａと13才の少女Ｂ。
牧歌的な農村、封建制の矛盾の描写。
ひたひたと 迫り来る欧米列強の予感。

義和団

少年Ａと少女Ｂが出くわす、欧米の横暴をしらしめる小さな事件。

義侠心からの義和団への参加。
武術の修行、武術教師や戦友との出会い。
戦闘での小さな勝利。
道教僧侶との出会い、道教聖地へのトリップ。 神秘体験。
中国神霊界でも、大変革の混乱がおきている。神霊達と 少年Ａと少女Ｂの目指すものが同一なことを知る。天界と地上界での 協力の約束。

戦闘と矛盾
激しくなる戦闘。
外国軍と裏切者中国人との戦闘。
義和団の カルト教団としての矛盾と限界を知る。
少年Ａと少女Ｂの人間的な 成長が著しい。出会い、対立、融和、別れのドラマの盛り上がり。

カタストロフィ
北京王城への欧米軍の侵入と市民への暴行。そして火災。
欧米軍による義和団への掃討。
義和団とは無関係な伝統武術家などが、市民を守っての悲愴感溢れる戦闘と最期。
復活のきざし
天界は神話の彼方に去っていく。
荒廃した現実が巨大で新鮮な 可能性に映る。
生き残った者達が再び農村に戻ったり向上や外国に向かっていく。
主人公の少年Ａと少女Ｂは、農村に向かう。
中国紅軍や中華人民共和国の登場を予感させる。
English Senario stage: The north of China, 1895-1902
Life in a small farm village:Suddenly, a battle scene. The story begins at a small private school for peasants where a marcial artist instructor teachs the Taiping TianGuo and the Opium War . This scene means that the China was on the verge of the catastrophic revolution. A boy A,14 years old , and a girl B,13 years old , are listening to the teachings. A description of a pastoral farm village and contradiction of the feudal system. The presentiment of the closing Great Powers.
The Boxer:One day, Boy A and girl B come accross a small incident which indicates the tyrannical behavior of Westearn contries. They enroll in the Boxer from their chivalry. Marcial art training, encounter with marcial artists and fellow soldiers. A small victory in a skirmish. Encounter with a Taoism preast. Trip to the sacred place of Taoism. They experience the mysticism. They learn that the Chinese spiritual world is also in revolutional confusion and the Spirits have the same aim as theirs. They make promise the cooperation for their purpose.
Battle and Contradiction:The battle against the foreign armies and the Chinese beterayers grow harder and harder. Boy A and girl B realize the limits and the contradiction of the Boxer as a religious body. Boy A and girl B grow up strikingly as human. The climax is Encounter, opposition and parting scene.
Catastrophe:Western armies invade to Beijing Palace and do violence to citizens. There are fire and sword. Western armies begin to swept away the Boxers. Traditional marcial artists who has no relationship to the Boxer try to protect citizens .They fight with a grim resolutoin and die off.
A Sign of the Revival:The spiritual world gone far off. A boy and girl face ruined realities, but they feel strong and fresh possibility in it. Survivors return to their home ,go for factories or abroad. Boy A and girl B leave for their farm village. A sign of appearance of the Red Army and the People's Republic of China.
どんなメディアで展開しようかな？
漫画、小説、戯曲、ラジオドラマ、テレビアニメ、テレビ実写ドラマ、劇場公開用アニメ、劇場公開用実写映画、商業劇場公演用芝居、といった一方通行型メディア？ なんかタルいなぁ。

パソコンゲーム、コンシューマゲームといったROMで提供するゲーム？3DCGバリバリで格ゲーの究極を見せる？違う気がする。デジタルテレビジョンや実験劇場で上映するためのインタラクティブ映画？どよ〜んとした気持ちになるなぁ。
この作品についてはメディアミックスなんて寝ぼけたことは言わない。世界初の本格的長編WEBアニメとなるのだ。まだ構想段階だが、必ずやこの作品を全世界に向けて公開する。
